Resonator 3 Liquid Bass
This sound sculpture borrows from the science of cymatics using bass frequencies to generate forms in the paint. There are many relationships between the forms found in cymatics and the sacred symbols and diagrams found in various religions, establishing links between the material nature of the universe and ideas of the spiritual. The carbon material can be seen as a link to the essential element of life or our material essence carbon. The bass frequencies psycho acoustic qualities add to the ideas of depth, primordial and origin. As with the first Resonator this is a larger floor positioned version. Taking on the guise of a pool this sculpture is viewed from above.
